For the opening of Foyer de glace, presented as part of the Parallel Exhibitions of the Images Vevey Biennale, 921 goes polar in the presence of Thierry Raboud. Starting from a photograph of his childhood taken in the Rhône Glacier cave, the artist investigates the photographer behind this image. Combining documentary film and photographs from family albums, his installation reconstructs the imaginary of this now-disappeared glacier. Cold beers, iced coffees and polar bears on the decks: come and break the ice!

Born in Valais in 1987, Thierry Raboud is a writer, literary critic and visual artist. Recipient of a 2023 grant from the Leenaards Foundation, he develops an artistic practice at the crossroads of literature, installation and performance. Author of several collections of poetry and artists’ books, he published his first novel this year, Un monde en liquidation (Editions La Baconnière), in dialogue with the Foyer de glace installation at Images Vevey.
