Stephanie Montes produced her The radiance of disaster series during the imposed lockdown in spring 2020, while she was in residency in Monthey as part of an exchange between Columbia and Switzerland. Working with these unusual restrictions, this Columbian artist creates tension by juxtaposing photos of lonely landscapes with black and white family snapshots from the first half of the 20th century.
This projet was realized in Switzerland as part of a SMArt artiste residency at Crochetan Theater in Monthey.
