The Jury 2023/2024

The final Jury is composed of five international personalities from the institutional, artistic, curatorial media and editorial world. It is always chaired by an artist, a renowned photographer, which comprises international experts.

Paul Graham

Photographer, President of the Jury of the Grand Prix Images Vevey

Paul Graham has played an essential role in challenging the barriers between the worlds of documentary photography and fine art. Recipient of the Hasselblad Award 2012 for his career, Paul Graham has published 21 monographs and 3 survey books. He has also presented solo exhibitions at the most renowned international venues, such as the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and the Venice Biennial. Paul Graham was senior critic for the MFA in Photography at Yale for 16 years. He currently lives in the US and is represented by Pace Gallery and galleries in London and Berlin.

Quentin Bajac

Director, Jeu de Paume

Author of a three-volume series on the history of photography, Quentin Bajac began his career at the Musée d’Orsay. In 2007, he became Chief Curator of Photography at the Centre Pompidou, before being appointed Director of Photography at MoMA in New York in 2013. He has organised major exhibitions including “A World of Its Own: Photographic Practices in the Studio” (2014) and “Stephen Shore” (2018).

Patrick Frey

Publisher, Edition Patrick Frey

After studying economics and art history, Patrick Frey became an art critic and essayist for various print media, such as Parkett, Wolkenkratzer, Flash Art, and Artforum. In 1986, he founded the Edition Patrick Frey publishing house where the catalogue now includes over 350 titles – mainly in the realms of contemporary art and photography – many of which have become classics of their genre.

Fiona Rogers

V&A Parasol Foundation Curator of Women in Photography

In 2011, Fiona Rogers created Firecracker, a digital platform and network to champion female photographers. After working for the Webber agency and Magnum Photos, she was appointed the inaugural Parasol Foundation Curator of Women in Photography, a major new international curatorial program at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A). Fiona Rogers is a curator, author and lecturer, as well as a trustee of the Martin Parr Foundation.

Kathrin Schönegg

Co-Head of Program and curator, C/O Berlin

Kathrin Schönegg is a historian of photography. Her dissertation “Fotografiegeschichte der Abstraktion” was awarded the DGPh History of Photography Research Award by the German Photographic Association (2018). After working as a freelancer for the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie, the Berlinische Galerie and Les Rencontres d’Arles, she joined the C/O Berlin Foundation in 2019 and has curated solo and thematic shows such as “Songs of the Sky. Photography & the Cloud” (2021).
